MCS accredited, NAPIT registered, and RECC members — we've built our reputation on quality installations and long-term customer relationships, not on being the cheapest name on a comparison site.

We're expanding into the Nottingham and Derby area and looking for an experienced Solar Surveyor / Sales Consultant to own this territory.

The Opportunity

This isn't a cold-calling role. You'll attend warm residential appointments, carry out full site surveys, design systems in OpenSolar, and present proposals on the same day — all with the support of an experienced team behind you.

Before you walk through a customer's door, our automated nurture system has already been warming them up. After the survey it keeps working in the background — so you're never left chasing cold leads alone. Your job is to build the relationship and present the right solution.

Our founder James Muse has been designing and installing solar and battery systems for 16 years. You'll never need to walk away from a complex job — whatever you sell, we can deliver it to the highest standard.

What You'll Earn

• Average residential deal: £15,000–£20,000 → £1,200–£1,600 per install
• Target of 8 installs/month from month 3 → £9,600–£12,800/month
• Self-generated commercial deals: £50,000+ → £4,000+ per deal
• +£200 bonus on every self-generated lead you convert
• Annual potential for consistent performers: £80,000–£150,000+
• Commission paid within 7 days of installation completion

What We'll Train You On

You bring the solar experience. We'll add the layer that makes the difference:

• Products we install — Sig Energy, Anker, Tesla, and our full range
• Our survey process and quality standards
• Our consultative sales technique, refined over 16 years
• How to educate a customer so the close comes naturally, without pressure
• Our follow-up process — turning "I'll think about it" into a signed contract
• How to position Fusion Solar against cheaper competitors and win on value

Key Responsibilities

• 2–3 warm appointments per day across Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas
• Full site survey on every visit following our proven checklist
• OpenSolar system design and proposal presented on the same day
• Structured follow-up supported by our automated nurture system
• Closing residential solar, battery storage, and EV charging installations
• Self-generating commercial leads

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year in solar sales — residential experience essential
• Proficient in OpenSolar
• Experienced in conducting full residential site surveys
• Solid understanding of MCS process, DNO applications, and battery storage
• Consultative mindset — you sell by building trust, not applying pressure
• The attitude to learn and follow a proven process
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
• Available for evenings and weekends when required

Important

This role is self-employed and performance-based. There is no basic salary. For a motivated solar professional who knows they have more in them, this is one of the most financially rewarding opportunities in the sector.
