Operations Manager – Heating & Renewables

Location: RG / OX / SN / M4 corridor
Job type: Full-time, permanent
Working arrangement: Field Based
Salary: up to £55,000 + Vehicle or car allowance

Mirai Energy Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Operations Manager – Heating & Renewables for a growing business operating across domestic heating and renewable energy.

This is a senior operational role overseeing the delivery of heating and renewable projects, managing field teams, improving performance and ensuring high standards of compliance, customer service and operational efficiency.

The Role

  • Manage day-to-day heating and renewable energy operations.
  • Oversee field engineers, subcontractors and installation teams.
  • Coordinate installation, service, repair and remedial workloads.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, compliance and customer service.
  • Support planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Review surveys, job records and completion documentation.
  • Manage operational issues and resolve escalations.
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Monitor costs, purchasing and operational performance.
  • Support onboarding, compliance and development of engineers.
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background within domestic heating, renewables or M&E.
  • Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, Senior Supervisor or similar role.
  • Experience managing field engineers and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of heating operations and compliance.
  • Air Source Heat Pump / renewable heating experience highly desirable.
  • Good commercial and operational awareness.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with job management or CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Experience across gas heating, ASHP, solar, electrical or renewable energy would be advantageous.
