GMC Motorhomes are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Motorhome Service Technician to join our team based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY1.
We supply new and used Motorhomes and pride ourselves on our attention to detail, methodical workmanship and excellent customer care.
Duties will include:
- Habitation Inspections
- Carpentry internal repairs
- Gas Repairs and installation of tanks and cylinders SGTW Qualified
- Electrical 12v and 240 volt diagnosis and repairs
- Fault diagnosis and repairs to Motorhomes along with the ability to work inline with manufacturing warranty procedures
- Installation of various accessories such as LPG Gas Systems, awnings, bike racks, solar panels, 5g Wi-Fi
- Promoting a happy working environment
Person Specification
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritise work effectively
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to adapt to the company's needs
- Reliable and takes pride in the quality of their work
The applicant requirements:
- Detailed knowledge of 12V / 240V Electrics
- Gas SGTW Qualified
- Gas inspection, servicing and repairs
- Warranty diagnosis working closely with the warranty team to ensure claims are submitted for issues diagnosed in a timely manner
- Be computer literate to ensure jobs cards and habitation services are completed on the system along with fault reporting and completing work set on your diary
- Reliable and takes pride in any of your work completed
- Be able to work as a team
- Have a positive pro-active approach
- Conscientious and be looking to produce the best result every time!
- A full driving licence is essential with a Category C1 on your driving licence so as you can drive over 3500kg is a must.
- Excellent customer service skills
Hours of work 5 days per week, 9am – 5pm Monday - Friday
Experience:
Please do not apply unless you have completed at least 2 years experience within a Motorhome workshop.
