Full job description

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Regional Area: Midlands (Coventry, East Birmingham, Leicester) - The position is “regionally” based, but there is an expectation that successful candidates will be prepared to travel to work on other contracts throughout the UK.

Overview of Role:

We are seeking experienced electricians to be part of a team of Solar PV installers.

Experience of Solar PV installations is desirable, but not essential, as we will provide suitable candidates with coaching and training to achieve the required skill level.

This is a “hands on” role, where the electrician will assist our Solar PV installers to fit roof mounted solar PV panels and complete associated wiring installations.

Primarily this will be on new build domestic properties, but there is an expectation that the ideal candidate will have flexibility to assist on our social housing and commercial projects where required.

Working on the commercial projects could involve working with a range of renewable energy products i.e. Energy efficient lighting, Heat Pumps, Solar PV, etc.

We are looking for electricians with a positive can-do attitude and a strong work ethic with a proven record in domestic installations.

As a skilled professional, this role will ultimately be the team lead, initially working in a team of two with a Solar Installer, but as the contract grows, potentially expanding to be the lead in a growing team of Solar PV installers.

The projects will involve working closely with Cor-Energy’s Project and Construction Managers.

The ideal candidate will be an initiative-taking team player with the communication skills, energy and focus to support busy projects.

A good all-rounder who can work on-site with minimal supervision, whilst flourishing under pressure and thriving when faced with challenge.
