Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and refining system designs across various engineering disciplines, including electrical and mechanical systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, utilising advanced CAD and simulation tools, with a focus on system optimisation and troubleshooting. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

- Study and analysis of documentation for projects (preferable solar farms / battery storage)

- research, study and technical interpretation of local codes and standards + incorporation in the design / engineering process

- executive design to include layout, energy/feasibility studies

- design of utility scale renewable energy projects (preferable)

- energy system design and energy production studies

- support during construction phase by interaction with project managers, project engineers and sub-contractors including support on-site as required

Experience

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering or related fields with a strong background in system design and development (1-2 years minimum).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software
  • PVsyst and PVcase are optional but desirable
  • Understanding of electrical systems design principles within the context of mechanical integration; experience in electrical wiring or schematic creation is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,489.07 per year
