Full job description

A rapidly expanding manufacturer of healthcare cabinets and work-surfaces seeks an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator based at our factory in Clevedon. Candidates must have over 2 years experience in similar role preferably from a joinery background.

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Biesse CNC machines, and inspecting finished products for accuracy. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of machining principles and be able to read and interpret technical drawings. Must have good health and safety knowledge and is willing to learn other Joinery Machines in order to complete projects on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and write programs for the CNC machine based on drawings and specifications.
  • Setting up, operating, and controlling the CNC machine.
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize machining processes.
  • Performing quality checks on items produced to ensure conformance to specification.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machine.
  • Changing and maintaining tooling.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the machine as they arise.

Skills

  • Minimum of two years' experience in CNC programming.
  • Proficiency in B Solid or similar CAD software for programming CNC machines.
  • Joinery experience preferred with some knowledge of furniture production.
  • Programming and Operation knowledge of CNC is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills for performing basic calculations and measurements.
  • Ability to work within a fast paced environment.
  • Good technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good work ethic and positive attitude to join a growing manufacturing team.

Job Type: Full-time

Good rates of pay for the right candidate depending on skills and experience; 40 hours per week; 22 days holiday PA plus bank holidays.
