About us

Inthatch Ltd produces straw for the thatching industry. We use traditional methods to cut the straw with binders, the sheaves of straw are then put in stooks to dry in the field and placed in rows for collection.

You will be part of our team harvesting thatching straw. You will need to be physically fit. Work will be in fields on and around the Blackdown Hills near Taunton, Trull, Ilminster, Staple Fitzpaine and Bishopswood. Work will generally start between 8-9am and finish between 5-6pm. There will be some flexibility in the days you can work and work can be available up to September. Further work can be available then until November, when we thresh our straw in our barns. You must have your own transport (preferably a car and not a bicycle) to get to work and live relatively near to the place of work.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Salary: TBC minimum wage for each age threshold

You must live relatively near to the place of work. We do not offer relocation packages. Please do not apply if living overseas.
