Job Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Sommelier, where your expertise will elevate the dining experience for our guests. As a key ambassador of wine knowledge and service, you will curate exceptional wine selections, assist guests in pairing wines with their meals, and provide personalized recommendations that delight and inspire. Duties

  • Curate and maintain an extensive wine list, highlighting unique selections and popular favorites.
  • Assist guests in selecting wines that complement their meals, offering detailed descriptions and pairing suggestions.
  • Serve wine with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring proper presentation and glassware standards are met.
  • Provide expert advice on wine storage, tasting techniques, and food pairings to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Support food preparation and presentation when necessary, collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling procedures for wine and related beverages.
  • Engage in ongoing learning about new wines, industry trends, and customer preferences to continually improve service quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant service, bartending, or barista roles with a focus on hospitality excellence.
  • Knowledge of catering services, food preparation, and food safety practices is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of wines, including varietals, regions, tasting notes, and serving techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate and engage guests effectively.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred; certification in food safety is a plus.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences through attentive service and expert guidance.
