About Us

JD Healthcare Group is one of the UK's leading fertility and reproductive healthcare providers, operating brands including London Women's Clinic, London Egg Bank, London Sperm Bank, KindIVF, Surrey Park Women's Clinic and Elective Egg Freezing across the United Kingdom. Since 1985, we have been supporting individuals and families through some of the most significant journeys of their lives — combining world-class clinical expertise with genuine human care. Everything we do is driven by a shared purpose: helping people build the families they dream of.

About the Role

As a Sonographer at JD Healthcare, you will deliver a high-quality fertility ultrasound service at the heart of our multidisciplinary clinical team. From follicular tracking and ovarian reserve assessments to early pregnancy scans and gynaecological investigations, your expertise will directly support diagnosis, treatment planning and monitoring throughout the patient's fertility journey. This is a specialist role that demands both advanced clinical skill and a genuinely patient-centred approach — the kind of role where your precision and compassion make a real and meaningful difference to every patient you see.

What You Will Do

  • Perform transvaginal, transabdominal, Doppler, fertility monitoring, gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound examinations in line with clinic protocols

  • Undertake follicular tracking, ovarian reserve, endometrial and pelvic assessments to support fertility investigations and treatment cycles

  • Assess, interpret and report ultrasound findings accurately to support clinical decision-making and treatment planning

  • Monitor patients during treatment cycles and escalate clinical, wellbeing or safeguarding concerns appropriately

  • Produce timely ultrasound reports and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic patient management system

  • Contribute to audit, quality assurance, incident reporting and service improvement initiatives

  • Maintain and support ultrasound equipment, reporting faults promptly and maintaining servicing and maintenance records

  • Support the development of ultrasound SOPs, competency frameworks and best practice standards across the team

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with a current, valid NMC registration

  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience performing baseline and follicular tracking ultrasound scans

  • Competency in fertility ultrasound scanning, signed off within scope of practice

  • BFS training for advanced fertility ultrasound scanning or equivalent competency

  • Experience working within a fertility or reproductive healthcare setting

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and counselling skills with a patient-centred approach

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Desirable

  • Advanced fertility ultrasound scanning experience

  • Experience supporting embryo transfer and oocyte retrieval procedures

  • HyCoSy competency

  • Fertility counselling qualification or relevant training

  • Experience in audit, quality improvement or service development

  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior clinical staff

What We Offer

  • 32 days annual leave including bank holidays

  • Life assurance

  • Pension plan

  • Workplace Nursery Scheme

  • MyGym discounts

  • Staff treatment discounts

  • EV Car Scheme and Cycle2Work

  • Perkbox benefits platform
