Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this vital role, you will support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, supervising food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Your leadership will inspire our kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dishes that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for excellence.

Duties

  • Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of culinary excellence and teamwork
  • Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards
  • Coordinate food production schedules to meet service times for events, conferences, and restaurant service
  • Support inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
  • Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
  • Maintain a positive, energetic work environment that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant environment
  • Strong background in food production, cooking, and culinary techniques
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on food safety and sanitation practices
  • Excellent understanding of hospitality standards and serving procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Prior restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable
