Full job description
South Cliff Dental Group is expanding our Operations Management Team. Supporting 5 of our practices in the Kent and Hastings area, we are looking to appoint an experienced and commercially driven Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within the group, reporting directly to the Operations Director supporting excellent patient care and the successful performance of our dental practices.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring practices run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with business objectives. You will lead and support Practice Managers, drive performance, and ensure consistently high standards across all sites. The role involves regular travel to practices, therefore a full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of practices to ensure smooth running and an excellent patient experience.
· Monitor and improve practice performance, ensuring targets are achieved for NHS and private income.
· Provide structured feedback to Practice Managers, setting clear action plans for underperforming practices.
· Act as Line Manager to Practice Managers, offering ongoing support and resolving operational challenges.
· Ensure practices are appropriately staffed, well organised, and aligned with business goals.
· Support the consistent implementation of company-wide systems, processes, and procedures across all locations.
· Ensure all practices are clean, well-maintained, fully operational, and compliant with company standards.
· Liaise with suppliers and contractors to manage repairs, maintenance, and equipment upgrades.
· Support refurbishments and practice improvement projects in collaboration with the Operations Director.
About You
Essential:
· Background or working knowledge of dentistry
· Previous commercial management experience
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
· Right to work in the UK
What We Offer

Working Hours & Location
40 hours per week (Monday - Friday) - with occasional weekend cover/availability.
Travelling to your practices daily, with occasional days required at our Head Office in Crawley and/or working from home.
