Full job description

Operations Coordinator – Windows, Doors & Construction

Clyde Windows & Construction Ltd
Location: Larkhall, South Lanarkshire
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

Clyde Windows & Construction is a successful, growing family business operating across windows, doors and construction.

As the business continues to expand, we are looking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Operations Coordinator to strengthen our existing operations team.

This is an important new role within the business, designed to improve planning, communication and job flow across both our Window & Door and Construction divisions.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations Director, Construction Manager, Window & Door Project Coordinator and wider office team.

This is not a role where one person is expected to manage everything alone. You will form part of an established team, helping to share responsibility, coordinate workloads and ensure projects continue to move forward efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The role will include:

  • Coordinating day-to-day activity across live window, door and construction projects
  • Supporting the planning and scheduling of labour, trades and installations
  • Helping ensure jobs are fully prepared before teams are allocated
  • Monitoring project progress and identifying outstanding actions or potential delays
  • Liaising with customers, installers, trades, suppliers and internal teams
  • Coordinating snagging, service visits, handovers and completion works
  • Keeping job information, diaries and operational systems accurate and up to date
  • Chasing outstanding information, paperwork and actions
  • Helping improve communication between departments
  • Supporting the Operations Director and departmental managers
  • Providing additional operational cover during holidays and periods of increased workload
  • Helping drive jobs through to successful completion and customer handover

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is organised, confident and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.

Ideally, you will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Project coordination
  • Construction administration
  • Operations support
  • Window and door installations
  • Construction or building services
  • Service or maintenance coordination
  • Scheduling or multi-trade planning

Experience within the window, door or construction industry would be advantageous, but it is not essential for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be someone who:

  • Is highly organised and able to manage multiple live jobs and priorities
  • Takes ownership of tasks and follows them through to completion
  • Communicates confidently with customers, trades and colleagues
  • Is proactive and solutions-focused
  • Can identify problems before they become bigger issues
  • Is confident working with computer systems, diaries and CRM/job-management software
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Is reliable, professional and accountable

Why Join Clyde Windows & Construction?

This is a newly created role within a growing business and provides an opportunity to make a genuine impact on how our operations continue to develop.

You will be joining an experienced management and operations team and will have the opportunity to develop your role as the company continues to grow.

We offer:

  • A permanent full-time position
  • A secure role within an established and growing company
  • A supportive team environment
  • A varied and interesting workload
  • Opportunity for progression and increased responsibility
  • The chance to play a key role in improving and developing our operational systems
  • Salary dependant on experience
