Spanish PPA Teacher

Location: William Stockton Primary School
Start date: September 2026
Days: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Hours: 12:30pm–3:30pm
Pay: £60–£70 per afternoon, depending on experience

About the Role

Vara Education is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and confident Spanish teacher to join our team from September.

You will deliver engaging Spanish lessons across primary year groups while class teachers complete their PPA time. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher, experienced educator or fluent Spanish speaker with strong classroom experience.

Full support, planning guidance and ongoing assistance will be available from the Vara management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate Spanish lessons
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Lead classes confidently and manage behaviour effectively
  • Assess children’s progress and maintain basic records, with support available
  • Complete occasional school reports, with additional payment provided
  • Work professionally with school staff and the Vara team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Fluent or highly proficient in Spanish
  • Experience teaching or supporting children, either in groups or one-to-one
  • Confident leading a primary classroom
  • Reliable, organised and professional
  • Passionate about languages and making learning enjoyable
  • Familiar with UK primary school expectations
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential

Qualified teachers are welcome to apply, but QTS is not essential for candidates with suitable experience and the confidence to lead a class.
