Full job description

Do you speak Spanish… but never get the chance to use it in your daily life or work?

Do you love teaching, playing, and making kids laugh?

We’re a small, passionate team delivering fun and engaging Spanish sessions to children in Primary Schools (Reception to Y6) and nurseries across South Manchester .

We’re looking for a new tutor to run our fun, play-based after-school clubs and nursery school sessions in Didsbury, Chorlton, Withington and surrounding areas.

We're looking for someone who...

**Has the right to work in UK (essential)

**Is available maybe just a couple of afternoons a week to start (approx 2:00–4:30 pm) with potential to grow!

**Has experience working with children

**Is fluent in Spanish and English

**Has a cheerful personality — fun, energetic, and positive

**Can build great relationships with school staff and kids

**Is independent and reliable — confident working solo

**Firm but kind — knows how to manage a group while keeping it fun!

Important: This is a self-employed, part-time role, and access own transport (bike or car essential) to travel to the schools (public transport is an option but factor travel times in)

What’s the job?

  • You’ll be running after-school Spanish clubs (typically 3:00–4:30pm), teaching small groups of primary school children (from Reception to Y6) in schools across Didsbury, Chorlton, Withington.
  • You'll be running sessions in Nursery Schools too!
  • The sessions are full of songs, games, movement, and storytelling.
  • All session plans, materials and training are provided – no planning needed, BUT you’ll need to prepare the classes in advance, bring big energy, and make it fun!
  • No two sessions are the same – you’ll travel between settings, meet new children, and bring Spanish to life through play and imagination.

Is this you?

  • You have experience working with children – in schools, nurseries, clubs, tutoring, or similar.
  • You are available for at least 2 afternoon- sessions per week. Bonus if you're also available for lunchtime or morning sessions too!
  • You’re not afraid to be silly, dress up, sing, or dance to make learning fun
  • You can lead a group confidently, manage behaviour, and keep children engaged
  • You’re happy to jump, move, and play – and get fully involved in every session
  • You’re outgoing, warm, and full of energy – no room for shyness here!
  • You’re reliable, organised, and always show up prepared
  • You speak Spanish and communicate well in English.
  • You have the right to work in the UK
  • You live in Didsbury/ Chorlton/Withington or close by.

What we offer:

  • from £20/hour (self-employed)
  • A friendly Spanish-speaking team who’ll support and cheer you on
  • No planning needed – just prepare the classes, show up and shine!
  • Flexible hours that can fit around other work or responsibilities
  • Opportunities to increase hours over time (up to 10/week)

Please note:

This is a part-time role.

You’ll need your own transport or good public transport links, a genuine love for children, creativity, and Spanish culture.
