Retail Food Service Assistant
Location: Tredegar
Hours: 8
Salary: £13.45 per hour (Real Living Wage)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Food Service Assistant to join our team at our petrol filling station and convenience store.

About the Role

As part of our store team, you’ll play a key role in both customer service and food preparation. You’ll help deliver a high-quality food offer while ensuring an excellent customer experience and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and serving hot and cold food and beverages to company standards
  • Providing friendly and professional customer service
  • Processing transactions accurately at the till
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
  • Replenishing stock and ensuring food displays are well presented
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company procedures
  • Supporting the smooth operation of the forecourt, store, and food service area

What We’re Looking For

  • A passion for customer service and food preparation
  • A positive, reliable, and hardworking attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Food service or retail experience is desirable but not essential (full training provided)
  • Must be aged 18 or over (due to licensing regulations and lone working requirements)
