Job Summary

Join our vibrant team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for grooming will shine! Your expertise will help strengthen our community of pet lovers by delivering exceptional care, ensuring every furry client leaves happy and healthy. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where your skills make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners.We are looking for someone who is already a qualified groomer.

Responsibilities

  • Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and de-matting to meet each dog’s specific needs and owner preferences
  • Assess each dog’s coat, skin condition, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products
  • Maintain a clean and safe grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-organized
  • Handle dogs with care, patience, and professionalism to ensure a positive grooming experience for both pet and owner
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and provide expert advice on animal care
  • Assist with animal handling tasks such as lifting, restraining, or supporting dogs during grooming procedures
  • Follow safety protocols diligently, especially when working with animals requiring special attention or veterinary experience

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in dog grooming is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their needs confidently
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling large or heavy dogs safely and comfortably
  • Passion for animal welfare with a caring, energetic attitude towards pet grooming
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
