Where you’ll be working?
You'll be he appointed person for lifting operations is responsible for overseeing the safe planning, coordination, and execution of lifting activities on the Hinkley Point C nuclear site. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards, conducting risk assessments, and supervising all lifting operations to prevent accidents and incidents.
What you'll bring?

- Do you have a valid Appointed Person for Lifting Operations qualification (e.g., CPCS or an equivalent recognised certification)
- Do you have an ECITB Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning & Installing Structures, Plant & Equipment (RQF) – Rigging?
- Do you have a CCNSG?
- Do you have significant experience planning and executing lifting operations, including complex lifts?
- Do you have a thorough understanding of LOLER 1998 and associated safety standards?
- Do you have experience producing risk assessments and method statements for lifting operations?
- Do you have the ability to oversee multiple lifting operations in a high‑risk construction environment?
- Do you have experience working with cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment?
- Do you have experience working on nuclear or large‑scale construction sites such as Hinkley Point C? (desirable)Do you have a First Aid qualification or other relevant safety certifications? (desirable)
