About the Role

You will be at the heart of our customer journey, ensuring every customer receives a professional, friendly and personalised service from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Welcoming customers and identifying their individual needs.
  • Assisting customers with frame selection, styling advice and product recommendations.
  • Accurately interpreting prescriptions and dispensing single vision, multifocal and high-index lenses.
  • Conducting professional spectacle collections, ensuring fit, comfort and visual performance are checked where appropriate.
  • Booking, amending and managing appointments using in-store systems.
  • Processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Completing customer records and paperwork to a high standard.
  • Understanding and following NHS guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
  • Acting as a positive ambassador for the Specsavers brand at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has current optical experience, optical experience within the last 5 years, or a strong background in customer service and/or retail.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoys building relationships and delivering outstanding customer care.
  • Is organised, accurate and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Takes pride in providing a professional and welcoming service.
  • Is eager to learn and develop within a supportive team environment.
