Job Summary:

Rebound Care and Support is seeking experienced and flexible female rehabilitation spinal injury support workers to provide personalised 2:1 care to a young person with a spinal injury living in Durham, including live-in, day, and waking-night shifts, supporting rehabilitation therapies, daily structure, emotional well-being, independence, and community engagement; applicants must hold a full UK driving licence to drive the client’s WAV to appointments and activities and be comfortable around cats.

Hours:

Live in - Monday to Monday - £2,136.00 per week.

Day Shifts (12h) - Monday to Friday - £17.00, Saturday - £18.50, Sunday - £20.00,

Waking Night Shifts (12h) - Monday to Saturday - £18.50, Sunday - £20.00.

Responsibilities

  • Following personalised support plans and risk assessments,
  • Drive the client using her WAV to appointments, university, and other activities
  • Support individuals in setting and achieving their personal goals,
  • Provide guidance and support to the client, ensuring best practices and a person-centered approach,
  • Assist with daily routines, including personal care and well-being,
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of all support provided, maintaining professional and respectful documentation,
  • Promote the client’s independence and quality of life through empowerment and consistent support,
  • Provide rehabilitation-focused support tailored to the client’s needs,
  • Respectful of client confidentiality and dignity at all times.

Experience

  • We are looking for supportive, patient and committed team members to provide the care throughout the day. The ideal candidates will need to have experience in working with SI clients, active, attention to detail and have a can-do attitude. Training & Background Checks

An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.

Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
