Full job description

The ‘City of Light Parish’ of The Redeemed Assemblies Church Scotland is looking to employ 2 full-time Ministers of Religion. Their duties will include conducting prayer meetings, assisting with the daily running of the church, giving spiritual advice and guidance to the congregation and evangelism, and leading community outreach projects among other duties. The ideal applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Church pastoring, Evangelism, and soul-winning outreachs. The applicants must also have at least 2 years of experience pastoring congregations of predominantly Afro-Caribbean extraction. The candidate should be a Born-again Spirit-Filled Christian Believer and must have a basic pastoral training certificate and pastoral ordination certificate as a previous church pastor or assistant church pastor. He or she must have gone through the Workers' training process. Evidence of training and ongoing spiritual development will be required if shortlisted for an interview. Experience in teaching bible studies and leading prayer sessions will be an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties will consist mainly of outreach ministration, coordinating other pastors and church workers to engage in street evangelism, and organizing crusades and other evangelical programs. He or she will be required to travel within the United Kingdom and abroad to organize programs for the benefit of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and for the public teaching of bible Studies, to engage in prayer and fasting with a view to building spiritual protection for congregants and the community at large.

  • High energy and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Articles of Faith of The redeemed assemblies is desirable but not mandatory
  • Must take continuous personal improvement and training very seriously
