Children’s Home Support Worker - Basildon, Essex

Are you an experienced Support Worker, Care Assistant, or Care professional looking to transition into a rewarding role within residential childcare?

We are a family-run, independent business operating Children’s Homes in the Basildon area. We are seeking passionate, dedicated individuals who want to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people by fostering a stable, nurturing home environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Development & Independence: Support young people in developing essential life skills and fostering their independence.
  • Daily Engagement: Assist with daily goals and activities, including cooking, arts, crafts, and personal hobbies.
  • Educational Support: Facilitate access to education, including transport to settings or assisting with home-schooling requirements.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain thorough and accurate record-keeping, reporting, and documentation.
  • Environment: Promote a nurturing home environment that supports the day-to-day development of the young people in our care.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a high level of confidentiality and communicate effectively and consistently with the team and external professionals.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Essential Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Previous experience in support work, care assistance, domiciliary care, or residential settings is highly preferred.
  • Compliance: Successful candidates must undergo enhanced DBS and reference checks prior to commencement.
  • Right to Work: Please note we are unable to offer sponsorship for overseas applicants at this time.
