  • Training provided
  • Location: Slough
  • Type: Full minimum of 2 shifts per week
  • Salary: £15-£16.50 per hour
  • Working pattern: Monday to Friday days 10am -4pm, Monday -Sunday nights 10pm - 7am
  • Requirements: To be eligible for this position, you must hold full right to work in the UK and have complex care experience including advanced seizure management and tracheostomy care skills

Your Role

You will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of safe, outstanding care of our paediatric client with complex care needs. You will be working in stable package with consistent, familiar and reliable people who are kind, caring and nurturing.

You will supporting a 10 year-old boy living in his family home who enjoys music, stories and watching cartoons.

Clinical skills required:

  • Advanced seizure management experience is essential including awareness of refractory epilepsy and ability to recognise and monitor signs of seizures
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation management
  • PEG feeding
  • Medication administration
  • Personal care
  • Moving and handling
  • Learning and development support

You’ll be part of a consistent and supportive care team based in a family home in this stable, long-term role.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 12 months of complex care experience
  • Experience with paediatric clients is advantageous but not essential
  • Tracheostomy care skills plus advanced awareness and knowledge of seizure management
  • Compassion, professionalism, and reliability
  • Good communication skills and IT confidence
  • Willingness to be part of a family-centred care team
  • Hold an understanding of safeguarding
  • Ability to recognise deterioration in both psychological and physical health
