HR Administrator / HR Officer (Part-Time)

MUST HAVE UK HUMAN RESOURCES EXPERIENCE

Will need only transport due to location.

Location: Bentley, near Farnham
Hours: 16–20 hours per week (flexible working pattern across 4–5 days)
Pay: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an organised, proactive and detail-focused HR Administrator / HR Officer to support the HR Manager within our 100-bed care home. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations across a workforce of approximately 135 staff.

You will play an important part in supporting recruitment, onboarding, compliance and general HR administration, helping to maintain a positive and well-organised employee experience.

Must be happy working in the office as this is a solely office based position.

You will ideally work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday when the HR Manager is not in the office, plus a Tuesday or Friday to give a day of overlap with the HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager
  • Manage recruitment processes including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and issuing offer letters and contracts
  • Carry out pre-employment checks including DBS and right-to-work verification
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems
  • Support onboarding and induction processes for new starters, including DSE and work station assessments
  • Monitor mandatory training, qualifications, DBS renewals and compliance records
  • Assist with absence monitoring, SSP and annual leave administration
  • Prepare HR documentation including letters, reports and meeting notes
  • Support employee relations processes by coordinating meetings and maintaining records
  • Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate employee data
  • Assist with sponsorship administration and visa-related documentation where required
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and care sector regulatory standards
  • Filing, updating spreadsheets and staff records

About You

  • Previous experience in an HR Administrator or HR support role
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Confident handling confidential and sensitive information (must be discreet)
  • Good understanding of HR processes (care sector experience desirable but not essential)
  • Personable, approachable and friendly
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) would be an advantage
  • Own transport required due to the location
