Project Manager

Full-time (35 hours per week), Fixed term for 2 years
Happy to talk flexible working
Based in Glasgow / Hybrid

sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. Our vision is an active Scotland where everyone benefits from sport. Our goal is to be inclusive by design.

sportscotland is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our Facilities team.

As part of a multi-disciplinary technical team, the role focuses on providing professional advice and support to partners on the planning and design of sports facilities. The successful candidate should be comfortable working collaboratively and offering technical input across projects.

The Project Manager will co‑ordinate and manage investment across capital grant programmes, so experience of project management, including budgets and/or funds, is essential.

A key part of the role is shaping the strategic development of places for sport and supporting partners with long-term planning. Experience in this area is desirable, or the ability to apply transferable skills to add value.

You will work closely with internal colleagues and external partners, including local authorities, clubs and community organisations, so we are looking for strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.

The role also supports the development of sustainable, high-quality sports facilities, so knowledge of (or interest in) sport and experience or awareness of sustainable design, construction and retrofit approaches is important.

The successful candidate should be educated to degree or postgraduate level in a relevant discipline such as Architecture, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering or Planning (or equivalent). Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.

* Please note successful candidates will be appointed at the entry point of the salary band.

How to apply

Please apply online and attach your CV and cover letter detailing why you meet the requirements, by the closing date of 20 July 2026.

We anticipate interviews will take place on 10-12 August 2026.

Employee benefits

In return for the above, we offer employee benefits such as flexible working, generous holidays, Cycle2Work, fantastic discounts, a great pension scheme, support with your professional development and much more.

Disability Confident Employer

We are a Disability Confident employer. If you have any difficulties with your application because of a disability, please contact hr.recruitment@sportscotland.org.uk and we will discuss how we can help you.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

At sportscotland inclusion underpins everything we do.  If you've got the right skills for the job, we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief, race, caring responsibilities, care experience or social background.
