Full job description
Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas
Pay: £115–£330 per day
Schedule: Weekend work (with optional midweek parties)
Most entertainers host 1–3 parties per day depending on availability and travel.
Join DNA Kids Party Entertainers
DNA Kids is a family-run children’s entertainment company with over 34 years of experience, delivering unforgettable birthday parties across the UK.
Since launching in 1991, we have hosted 88,000+ parties nationwide and now deliver over 5,500 parties every year, with bookings continuing to grow.
We’re trusted by parents across the UK to deliver fun, energetic and well-organised celebrations that children remember long after the party ends.
Many of our entertainers stay with DNA Kids for several years while studying, performing, teaching or building careers in events and entertainment.
To continue delivering the high-energy experiences that DNA Kids is known for, we’re looking for confident, enthusiastic entertainers to bring that same fun, bubbly energy to every party.
Application Process: After applying through Indeed, candidates will be invited to complete a short application form through our recruitment system before interview.
The Role
We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and confident people to join our team as Children’s Party Entertainers, hosting birthday parties across your local area.
Most parties take place at weekends, with additional midweek parties and school events available for those with flexibility.
This is a fun, active role that suits confident, outgoing people who enjoy performing, hosting and keeping groups of children engaged.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Hosting fun, fast-paced children’s birthday parties for ages 3–12
- Leading structured party games and activities
- Creating a high-energy party atmosphere
- Managing party timings and keeping events running smoothly
- Interacting confidently with both children and parents
Where Parties Take Place
Parties take place in homes, community halls and local venues across your region.
Entertainers typically host parties within their local area, travelling to nearby towns and communities where families have booked DNA Kids parties.
For example, entertainers may host parties in areas such as Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket, St Neots and Huntingdon, typically travelling 30–60 minutes from their home postcode.
We also work to schedule parties efficiently to keep travel practical wherever possible.
What We’re Looking For
- Confident and outgoing personality
- Comfortable speaking to groups of children and adults
- Reliable with excellent time-keeping
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Weekend availability
Experience in performing, childcare, sports coaching, teaching or events is helpful but not essential.
What We Offer
- £115–£330 per day depending on the number and type of parties hosted
- Flexible weekend work that fits around your schedule
- Faster onboarding with our new online training platform
- Regular weekend work with a growing national company
- Opportunities to run multiple parties per weekend
New Faster Training with Our LMS
We’ve launched a brand new online training platform (LMS), making it quicker and more accessible than ever to get started.
- Complete core training from home at your own pace
- Get party-ready faster so you can start earning sooner
- Ongoing access to training materials and support
This means you can fit training around your schedule and move from application to hosting parties much more efficiently.

What Happens Next
- Apply through Indeed to register your interest in joining the DNA Kids team
- Complete our short online application form
- Attend a short telephone interview with our team
- Take part in a Zoom audition or submit a self-tape where you’ll demonstrate your energy and interaction skills
- Successful applicants will then be invited to training before starting parties
