About Reborn Furniture

Reborn Furniture is a small, independent workshop based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, creating handcrafted pine furniture with a rustic-modern style. Every piece is built with care, precision, and a focus on lasting quality.

We’re looking for a Workshop Assistant to join our friendly team and help with the preparation and finishing side of production.

Main Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, and prepare timber accurately
  • Sand and finish components to a high standard
  • Apply wax finishes and light treatments
  • fit doors and drawers to units that require
  • Keep the workshop tidy and assist builders with daily workflow
  • Follow safety and quality procedures

Requirements

  • Basic experience using woodworking tools (table saws, sanders, tape measures, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy with measurements
  • Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn new skills

Custom Furniture Finisher/material prep/stock

The main responsibilities of this role are to prep material and finish constructed pieces.

You will sort through boards for a glue up, making sure they are straight and clean often multiple times a day. So that the other craftsmen can sand, wax and construct work.

You will also be sanding, waxing, and cleaning up edges of tables, desk tops and bookcases before they are shipped out along with the fronts.

You will also be assembling, installing draws, draw runners, doors and backing for the pieces based on the requirements of the client.

The key to this role is being a dynamic worker with strong communication skills who can juggle multiple priorities at once while maintaining stock levels and working to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, efficiency along with a can do attitude

Pay: £24,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
