Location: Hindhead

Hours: 10:00pm – 8:00am

Shifts: 7 nights per week (full-time hours available)

Pay: £20.00 per hour

We are looking for compassionate, reliable and experienced Children's Complex Care Support Workers to join a dedicated 1:1 care package supporting a young child with complex health needs during overnight hours.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child's quality of life while working within a supportive clinical team.

About the Role

Working on a dedicated 1:1 basis, you will provide overnight clinical and personal care within the family home, ensuring the child remains safe, comfortable and supported throughout the night.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring respiratory status throughout the night
  • Supporting overnight CPAP ventilation
  • Airway management and regular suctioning
  • Oxygen administration when clinically indicated
  • PEG feeding, medication administration and hydration
  • Seizure monitoring and following seizure management plans
  • Repositioning every two hours to maintain comfort and skin integrity
  • Personal care and continence support
  • Monitoring skin condition and PEG site
  • Accurate record keeping and clinical documentation
  • Providing reassurance, comfort and emotional support
  • Working closely with the child's family and multidisciplinary team

Clinical Skills Required

Successful applicants should have experience with, or be willing to undertake training in:

  • CPAP / Non-Invasive Ventilation (Stellar 150)
  • Airway suctioning
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Pulse oximetry / saturation monitoring
  • PEG feeding and medication administration
  • Epilepsy and seizure management
  • Moving & Handling (including hoisting)
  • Complex paediatric care

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

  • Able to recognise deterioration and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Professional with excellent communication skills

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months experience supporting individuals with complex care needs
  • Previous experience supporting children (preferred)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Ability to work waking night shifts on a rota
