GENERAL MANAGER - CASTLETON (DERBYSHIRE PEAK DISTRICT)

A delightful ‘character’ hotel set in the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park, Ye Olde Nags Head, offers 9 bedrooms, a full service gastro-style restaurant and a cosy real ale bar with regular live music and entertainment events that appeal to both local trade and visitors.

The hotel owners are now seeking to recruit a General Manager who will support all departments of the business.

We are ideally looking for someone with a broad range of hotel management experience, who can be relied upon to help drive the business in every aspect of its day to day operation. You will add to the overall 'guest experience' through your obvious passion for the sector and an unflinching desire to present first class hospitality standards in the bar, restaurant, reception and housekeeping activities. Kitchen experience is not essential, but would be considered advantageous.

Salary will be in the range of £38,000 to £42,000pa, subject to the level of relevant experience, plus a targeted bonus.

You need to be a seasoned team/people manager with hands-on exposure to staff recruitment, training, performance management and financial reporting.

Please note: this is not a 'live-in' role and no staff accommodation is provided at the hotel. Applicants should therefore be located within reasonable daily commuting distance of Castleton.
