Purpose of Role:

The role of the Steel Erector / Mechanical Fitter is to work within the Erection-Team, under the supervision of the ChargeHand / Foreman to ensure the safe completion and erection of steel platform structures for deployment to an OffShore Windfarm. The successful candidate will have experience in similar activity.

The business operates in-house Design, Manufacture and Deployment functions from a number of sites located in Widnes, Cheshire, has a turnover of £30m and employs 210 personnel.

Key Objectives of the Role:

To work in a team environment / working as a steel erector / mechanical fitter.

Additional Role Information:

Full time position, immediate start.

Working hours: 56 hours a week (7:00am start, 12hours Monday to Thursday, 8 hrs Friday).

Additional Hours to meet project milestones may be required.

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Completing work to the highest specification, with a right first time attitude.
  • Complying with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Working collaboratively with the team to achieve the best output and quality.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duty as requested by the Line Manager.
  • A positive attitude and flexibility within the role with a desire to grow and develop professionally within the company.
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • License for Telehandler / FLT is an advantage.
  • IPAF / MEWP training is an advantage
