Full job description

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Marketing & Communications Manager to develop and deliver the marketing and communications strategy, strengthen our brand presence, and engage target audiences across multiple channels. Reporting to the Head of Portfolio and Markets, this hands-on leadership role combines strategic planning with operational delivery, ensuring cohesive, creative, and effective brand and product communications that drive specification, demand, and sales across the Rapidrop portfolio.

As a self-starter, you will take ownership of developing and executing high-impact marketing initiatives, working collaboratively with portfolio, sales, and product teams to deliver campaigns that support revenue growth while maintaining brand consistency and an outstanding customer experience. Acting as the brand guardian, you will lead content strategy, digital marketing, and data-driven campaigns, while driving the expansion of marketing activity across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape the function and make a significant business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Business Acumen

  • Understanding of brand strategy, campaign planning, design, collateral creation, POS, print, merchandising, events/exhibitions, and physical marketing assets.
  • Ability to monitor, track, and review the effectiveness and commercial impact of campaigns and marketing activity, providing insight into performance and return on investment where measurable.
  • Produce technical product literature, brochures, CPD’s, and project case studies, blogs and web content that demonstrates product value.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Rapidrop’s global commercial priorities and how marketing activity supports business growth, customer engagement and international market expansion.
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives that align with commercial objectives and strengthen Rapidrop’s global brand presence.
  • Work closely with commercial and leadership teams to ensure marketing activity supports product promotion, market development and revenue growth.
  • Monitor marketing performance, budgets and campaign effectiveness to ensure resources are used efficiently and deliver measurable return on investment.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor activity and global market developments that may influence marketing strategy and positioning.
  • Experience of planning and executing participation in exhibitions

Communication

  • Confident campaign leader with a structured, delivery-focused approach.

  • Create clear marketing plans to target various audiences including contractors, installers, distribution and specifiers.
  • Develop clear, engaging and consistent marketing communications that reflect Rapidrop’s brand and support customer engagement.
  • Coordinate marketing messaging across channels to ensure consistency across global markets and regions.
  • Communicate marketing plans, campaign activity and performance updates clearly to stakeholders.
  • Monitor, track, and review the effectiveness and commercial impact of campaigns and marketing activity, providing insight into performance and return on investment where measurable.

Resource Management

  • Plan and organise Rapidrop’s participation in industry events such as trade shows, exhibitions, and any other customer-facing events.
  • Creation of marketing roadmaps
  • Coordinate marketing projects and campaigns to ensure delivery against agreed timelines and business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with marketing agencies, suppliers and external partners to ensure quality delivery of marketing activity.
  • Monitor marketing budgets and ensure activity delivers value for money and measurable outcomes.
  • Support the effective use of marketing tools, systems and resources to deliver efficient and impactful campaigns.
  • Ensure marketing activity is organised, well planned and delivered in line with business priorities and commercial goals.

Change and Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through new tools, technologies and marketing approaches.
  • Highly commercially driven with strong brand awareness and judgement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen marketing performance and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor digital developments, marketing trends and emerging communication channels to keep Rapidrop competitive.
  • Recommend improvements to marketing processes, reporting and campaign delivery methods.
  • Encourage innovation across marketing activity to support Rapidrop’s continued international growth.
  • Work closely with the product team to plan and execute the launch and ongoing promotion of new and existing products, ensuring strong product positioning and brand storytelling.
  • Managing the creation of a new website. Working with an external agency to project manage the design and launch a customer focused, user-friendly website

Experience

  • Experienced marketer with at least 5 years relevant experience in B2B environment
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful multi-channel marketing strategies
  • Experience managing agencies or external marketing partners.
  • Highly organised, proactive and solutions‑focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is and experience with digital marketing tools/platforms such as Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, social media management, CRM systems, CMS, and email marketing
  • Technical Communication: Ability to translate complex or technical features into clear, benefit-driven messaging.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in B2B marketing, preferably within fire safety, construction, building products, or manufacturing.
  • Experience working with different audiences, in particular contractors and specifiers
  • Desirable: CIM qualification
  • Desirable: Experience with design packages
  • Desirable: Working with other countries

Please note this role is based 5 days per week at our Peterbrough site with some international travel. We are not able to offer hybrid or remote working at this time.

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
