Manor Avenue Cleaning Ltd is looking for a reliable, organised and professional Operations Manager to oversee our growing cleaning team across Manchester.

We work closely with estate agents, property managers and landlords, providing end-of-tenancy cleans, deep cleans, sparkle cleans, carpet cleaning, mould removal and other property services.

This is a hands-on management position. You will be responsible for making sure each working day runs smoothly from start to finish, managing cleaners, collecting keys, organising equipment and dealing professionally with our clients.

Main responsibilities

• Collect property keys from estate agents each morning
• Attend our storage unit to collect cleaning equipment, products and supplies when required
• Organise cleaners and make sure they arrive at properties on time
• Give cleaners clear instructions for each work order
• Ensure cleaners understand exactly what needs completing before leaving them at a property
• Manage several properties and cleaners throughout the day
• Take or arrange clear before-and-after photographs for every job
• Check work has been completed to a high standard
• Deal with minor problems independently without immediately escalating everything to the Director
• Communicate professionally with estate agents, property managers, cleaners and the Director
• Return property keys to estate agents within the required timeframe
• Keep the Director updated on important issues throughout the day
• Help organise emergency cleans and last-minute jobs
• Ensure equipment and cleaning products are available for the team
• Monitor staff punctuality, performance and professionalism
• Handle customer concerns calmly and professionally
• Protect the company’s relationships with our estate-agent partners
• Follow work orders accurately and ensure nothing is missed
• Help improve the efficiency and organisation of the day-to-day operation

Driving requirements

You must:

• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Have access to your own reliable vehicle
• Be comfortable driving throughout Manchester during the working day

Mileage/petrol expenses will be discussed in line with the role and company policy.

Working hours

Monday to Friday
Approximately 8:00am – 4:30pm

Some days may finish slightly earlier or later depending on the workload and property schedule.

Pay

£95 per day
Approximately £475 per week based on five working days

Important

This is not a position for somebody who needs constant supervision.

We are looking for someone who can be given a schedule, manage the cleaners, organise the properties, solve day-to-day problems and make sure the operation runs smoothly without the Director having to oversee every detail.

Reliability, honesty, professionalism and communication are extremely important for this position.
