Full job description
This is a brilliant opportunity for a designer at the start of their career to work on meaningful creative projects that have real-world impact. Join the NSPCC's award-winning Creative Team and help create design that inspires action, raises vital funds, and supports children and young people when they need us most.
Communication is at the core of our impact - be part of the voice that drives change and join the NSPCC creative team. With over 100 years of experience, and the collective strength of our staff, volunteers, supporters and partners, the NSPCC works to end child abuse and neglect for good.
As part of our friendly and talented Creative Team, you'll work on a huge variety of briefs across two of the UK's best-known and most trusted brands: NSPCC and Childline. One day you could be creating social content for a major fundraising appeal, the next supporting a behaviour change campaign, designing communications that influence policy, or helping children and families access support.
With campaigns, fundraising, services, policy and Childline all in the mix, there's always something new to get stuck into. You'll collaborate with designers, writers, filmmakers, marketers and digital specialists to bring creative ideas to life across a wide range of channels and audiences.
Alongside meaningful work, we offer flexibility to help you do your best work. This role can be based anywhere in the UK, with the option to work remotely, hybrid or office-based. You'll also benefit from 29 days' annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata for part-time roles), a generous pension scheme and a range of wellbeing and employee benefits.
What will your role be?As our Junior Creative, you'll help bring some of the NSPCC's most important work to life. From fundraising appeals and behaviour change campaigns to Childline services and policy influencing, you'll create design that engages audiences, inspires action and helps connect children and families with support.
Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you'll have the opportunity to build your skills across a huge variety of projects while making a genuine difference through your work.
This role offers the chance to:
- Work across two of the UK's most recognised and trusted charity brands, NSPCC and Childline
- Build your skills on a wide variety of creative projects and campaigns
- Create inclusive, accessible communications that reach and support more people
We're looking for a designer with strong creative potential and a passion for using design to make a difference. You may be early in your career, but you'll already have experience creating content for different audiences and channels and be keen to learn from experienced creatives while developing your skills further.
- Experience creating design work for a range of audiences through paid, voluntary or personal projects
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, with knowledge of After Effects or Premiere
- Understanding of how brand, design and content work together to achieve communication objectives
- Experience creating digital content for channels such as social media, websites or online advertising
If this sounds like the kind of role you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
