Full job description

Job Summary

As a Barista and server, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and ensuring that every customer has a delightful experience. Other duties include serving traybakes, Acai bowls, toasties, cleaning etc.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
  • Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding menu items.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations during food preparation and service.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Barista is essential.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
  • A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including one weekend day, and holidays as required.
