Residential Care Worker – Learning Disabilities
Location: Derriford, Plymouth
Hours: 30 or 40 hours per week (contracted)
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (8am–8pm) including alternate weekends
Please note: We do not hold a Home Office licence to sponsor overseas staff or student visas.
We are a small residential home supporting 4 adults with learning disabilities with a 1:1 staffing ratio, allowing us to provide truly person-centred care. We are looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to join our friendly team.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support
- Assist with daily living tasks including personal care and medication
- Support individuals to access the community and activities
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate records
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice
Requirements
- Caring, patient, and reliable
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
- Full UK driving licence (required – access to Motability vehicles)
- Care Certificate or Health & Social Care qualification desirable
