Full job description

Student Wellbeing Adviser

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Student Wellbeing Adviser to join our Wellbeing and Mental Health team within Student Services.

In this rewarding role, you will provide one-to-one support to students experiencing a range of wellbeing, mental health and personal challenges, helping them overcome barriers and succeed at university. While supporting the wider student population, you will also take a lead role in supporting designated international student groups, delivering targeted interventions and developing specialist knowledge to help students navigate the unique opportunities and challenges of studying in a different country.

You will manage a varied caseload, undertake risk assessments, respond to safeguarding concerns and contribute to our Duty service, providing timely support to students in crisis. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the University and external partners, you will play a key role in ensuring students receive coordinated, effective support.

We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and communities. We are especially interested in hearing from candidates who have lived experience of studying internationally themselves, as well as those with experience of supporting international students or working in diverse, multicultural environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, forward-thinking team and help shape an inclusive university experience where all students can flourish.
