Full job description

The vacancy is for an experienced stores person ( minimum of 2 years experience desirable ) in a busy welding and engineering consumables distributor based in Walton Summit, Preston.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking sales orders and preparing them for dispatch by our own transport or parcel carrier. Knowledge of maintaining stores and stock is essential and we operate a fully batch traceable system which tracks product from goods inwards to dispatch so accuracy is important.

We operate a stock management system so computer skills are essential combined with good literacy and numeracy.

A clean driving license will be required because driving the company vehicles may be a requirement.

The hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm which is 39 hours with no potential for overtime or weekend work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £13.80 per hour
