Do you love working with young children? Bring your energy, imagination and enthusiasm to Little Kickers East Hertfordshire and help children build confidence through football, fun and play.

We’re looking for a dependable coach who wants to become a regular part of our Sunday morning team in Waltham Abbey. You’ll need to be confident leading young children and engaging warmly with parents and carers.

Sunday mornings and pay

£45 per morning for three classes (£15 per class).

Classes run from 8:40am to 11:05am. Arrive at 8:25am to prepare the venue and equipment, and finish around 11:15–11:20am after tidying and storing equipment. The £45 morning rate includes preparation and pack-away.

Location: Community Centre, 46 Crooked Mile, Waltham Abbey EN9 1QD.

Regular Sunday morning availability and an ongoing commitment to the team are essential.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead fun, imaginative football-based activities for children aged 18 months to 7 years.

• Create a welcoming environment where every child feels encouraged and included.

• Build friendly relationships with parents and carers and communicate confidently with them.

• Work with fellow coaches to deliver safe, engaging sessions.

• Prepare the venue and equipment, then tidy and store equipment after classes.

• Follow our safeguarding procedures.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be reliable, punctual, patient and enthusiastic, with the confidence to lead a group of young children and keep them engaged.

Experience in childcare, nurseries, early years, teaching, teaching assistant roles, children’s activities, holiday clubs, youth work, drama, dance or sports coaching could make you a great fit.

Previous experience with young children is highly desirable. Football experience is desirable but not essential: we provide supportive Little Kickers training and ongoing guidance.

Travel

Reliable travel to Waltham Abbey every Sunday is essential. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable for training in Ware and opportunities to provide cover at other venues. Reliable local candidates who can walk to the venue are also welcome to apply.

• Potential to increase your earnings through additional classes as the venue grows, including a possible Mega Kickers class, with occasional cover opportunities at other venues. These additional opportunities are not guaranteed.

Appointment is subject to appropriate safeguarding checks, including DBS.
