Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods and services, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain operations. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Duties

  • Planning transportation of static caravans
  • Managing transport administration using Microsoft Excel, Outlook emails and our own bespoke IT system
  • Communicating and developing relationships with caravan manufacturers and customers to coordinate effective collections and deliveries
  • Managing driver’s workload in line with the Working Time Directive and legislation
  • Ensuring effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources, whilst also adhering to driver’s working hours and legislation
  • Providing accurate information to Police Constabularies to ensure dispensations are provided for transport movements

Experience

  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Experience of transport planning
  • Ability to problem solve and be creative in finding solutions
  • An understanding of Working Time Directive and legislation regarding driver’s hours
