We provide bespoke, community-based support to individuals with complex needs; including a mental health diagnosis, neurodiversity, or those who may have endured trauma.

The people we support may have spent an extended period in hospital or another setting, therefore we utilise a person-centred approach; empowering individuals to become as independent as possible within their own homes

About the Role

We have several opportunities available throughout Brighton area! From supporting individuals in our on site accommodations, to supporting individuals in their own homes - we have a range of opportunities available. Please contact us to discuss more!

We are committed to providing personalised support that empowers individuals with complex needs to live independently and with dignity. In this role, you’ll make a real difference by helping people achieve their goals, promoting social inclusion, and managing risks with compassion and professionalism.

Our team comprises of many different types of extra-ordinary people; we are not looking for one ‘set’ of skills but instead are looking for people who share our vision to do something different; something innovative, high quality and something that achieves something amazing for the people we work with.

Whether you’re new to the field or building on existing experience, you’ll find excellent opportunities to grow your skills and progress your career within a supportive and award-winning organisation.

This is your chance to be part of a meaningful journey that transforms lives every day!

Car owner/driver essential due to the travel involved. We do not offer sponsorship with this role.

Job Opportunity

This is community based, working with clients in their own home. You will have the full support of a team leader who will be actively involved in the service and benefit from our extensive training and development. You will also have access to our in-house clinical team to provide any additional advice and guidance you may need, as well as client/diagnosis specific training.

We are looking for staff with experience in mental health, or transferrable skills within a similar field. You must be able to work autonomously from the detailed support plans provided for each client to work flexibly across the many services we provide for clients with all levels of need within the mental health spectrum. You need to be resilient, adaptable, as well as confident in problem solving a variety of situations and presentations.

We provide support in a recovery focused way, always aiming to practice Trauma Informed support. Our goal is to guide our clients to regain or rebuild their independence and control over their own lives, helping them increase their confidence in themselves to be able to make their own decisions.

Key Duties:

  • To facilitate the delivery of a service which follows a person-centred ethos and promotes independence.
  • To complete dynamic risk assessments and support plans.
  • Promote wellbeing and appropriately manage risk.
  • Ensure adherence to company and national policies and procedures.
  • To work flexibly as required by the service; this may require some working outside of your normal hours to provide consistent support.
  • You will be supporting people in accommodations or their homes, facilitating safe discharges and avoiding admissions.
  • Collaborative working with a team of professionals with a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Maintain compliance with mandatory & additional training in place to enhance your professional development.

Company Benefits

  • You will receive full induction training and continued professional development
  • Excellent support from experienced management and the wider clinical leadership team
  • Access to our EAP program offering telephone support, full counselling services and discounts on a range of shops and services
  • A wellbeing day in addition to annual leave, to use however you wish
  • 28 days annual leave, increasing with length of service up to 5 additional days
  • Staff recognition and rewards.
  • Monthly workshops with our Clinical Team as well as access to our library of previous sessions

Essential Skills

We're seeking someone who is:

  • Empathetic, patient and passionate about supporting people with mental health needs.
  • Confident engaging with individuals with neurodiversity or complex backgrounds.
  • Has experience (or is keen to learn) therapeutic de-escalation and crisis-intervention techniques.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to respond to changing needs.
