Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker

Location: Denmead, Waterlooville

Salary: £14.45 per hour PLUS an additional £62.64 for sleep-ins

Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week long shifts and sleep ins

We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our loving family home, caring for younger children who have sometimes emotional and behavioural difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop.

We want to create a safe haven where every child's potential shines bright, you'll be the beacon of hope, providing unwavering support to our young champions.

What do you need?

  • We want people who are naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
  • Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives.
  • Great communication skills, positive, playful and energetic.
  • Experience in working with children such as children's care or transferable skills such as children's nursery, education, sports or working with vulnerable people is beneficial.
  • Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations.
  • Full UK Driving licence is beneficial
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins

  • Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations

  • Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
  • Empower them to make decisions about themselves
  • Ensure a safe home environment, cleaning, laundry, cooking is part of the job.
