The salary for this role is £35,731.88 per annum, increasing to £37,399.38 per annum on 1st August 2026.

About you

Do you have experience working with children? Want to join a supportive team where you will work with experienced professionals in children’s residential? Then we would love to hear from you.

You will work in the children’s residential home with an age range of 8 – 18 years where you will provide a loving and caring environment to our children. We have a culture which ensures each child is treated with understanding, dignity, kindness and respect. You will be able to form positive relationships with children based on respect and openness, as well as having an awareness of safeguarding from harm and the ability to assess and manage risk.

You will hold the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification. You will work shift patterns, including weekends and sleep-ins, hold a full driving license with business insurance and have access to a vehicle for work purposes. There is a four-week rolling rota; sleeps are 8 across the rota for full-time time and 6 for part-time workers. Shifts are typically 2:30pm-10:30pm/7:00am-3:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and care for children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Maintain open communication with children, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
  • Drive children to appointments and activities as needed, ensuring timely arrivals.
  • Document progress and any incidents accurately, utilizing IT systems for record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care provided.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a residential setting
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • UK valid Driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use
