Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, caring, ethical skilled Associate Dentist to join our Work Family. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality dental care and a commitment to patient satisfaction. As an Associate Dentist, you will work collaboratively with our team to deliver comprehensive dental services while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients.

This is a rare opportunity to join a long-established dental practice in the heart of Huddersfield. We are an Independent private practice located on a busy arterial route in/out of Huddersfield with excellent easily accessible links to the surrounding towns and cities.

We have been a private practice for over twenty-two years and over 90% of our patients are on a private capitation plan. There will be very little NHS commitment which is not targeted.

The position has become available following the departure of a colleague, there is an established list to take over with amble room for growth.

We focus on delivering excellent quality care to our patients in terms of the dentistry and the patient experience. There is a demand to deliver beautiful dentistry and the incoming dentist will have many an opportunity to deliver this.

The surgeries are air-conditioned, have air exchangers, are fully computerised, we have rotary endo, digital radiographs and an intra-oral scanner.

We have a stable, friendly, welcoming team of excellent and experienced staff who are eager to learn new skills and adapt; this includes our team of hygienists, all led by a very adept Practice Manager. The principal (moi!) is an experienced practitioner and very approachable. I work full time myself and adore discussing cases, reviewing treatment options, peer review – there is an open-door policy with all.

All the staff know our clients, old and new, by sight which helps immensely when putting patients at ease. There is a relaxed “homely” feel to our practice, which is often commented upon by our clients (please see our Google reviews!).

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, dedicated, innovative individual who has excellent communication skills and who has insight and empathy towards our patients and the team. A gentle chair side manner, high ethical standards and a desire to put the client’s needs and best interests first are imperative.

You will have full autonomy over how you operate allowing you to work how you were trained to work, doing the dentistry you want to do.

If you would like to join a friendly team in a practice where the well-being of the team and clients is paramount, please contact me, Preetpal on pree@marshdentalcare.co.uk.

  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care measures.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient practice operations.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in dentistry through continuous professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry or equivalent qualification recognised by the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Valid GDC registration to practice as a dentist in the UK.
  • NHS performer number.

  • Experience with medical imaging techniques is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of care.
