The Role

This is a full-time, Acquisitions Surveyor – PBSA role based in our head office, Cheadle, reporting to the Director of Acquisitions. In this role, you will:

  • identify and evaluate PBSA opportunities, including site sourcing, feasibility assessments, and financial appraisals
  • conduct market and demographic research
  • prepare investment proposals
  • support negotiations on heads of terms and purchase agreements
  • liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure each acquisition aligns with the company’s strategic and financial objectives.

Qualifications

  • Solid background in property acquisition, ideally within PBSA, residential, or alternative living sectors, with experience appraising investment opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, including cashflow analysis, development appraisals, and understanding of yields, IRR, and other key investment metrics.
  • Knowledge of UK property markets, planning processes, and relevant regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
  • RICS qualification (MRICS/AssocRICS) or progress toward professional membership is highly desirable, along with a relevant degree in Real Estate, Surveying, Finance, or a related field.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Cheadle
