Role Purpose

Meadow Foods are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sustainability Coordinator to join our dedicated team on a fixed term basis from 12 - 18 months to cover maternity. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing sustainability, reporting, and carbon accounting activities. They will also support customer sustainability requirements, coordinating internal and external sustainability projects, and helping deliver Meadow's sustainability roadmap. The role will require close collaboration with Farm, Supply Chain, Commercial, Marketing and Site teams, as well as engagement with customers, suppliers and industry bodies. This is a hands-on role requiring strong project management, communication and analytical skills, with the ability to balance day-to-day delivery with longer-term strategic objectives.

Working hours

This role is to be worked from 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday with a 1 hour unpaid break each day for a total of 37.5 hours per week.

This is a hybrid role to be worked remotely as well as our Chester site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sustainability and carbon accounting data within Meadow's reporting platforms.
• Collect, analyse and interpret sustainability data to support customer reporting, regulatory submissions and business decision-making.
• Coordinate annual sustainability reporting requirements, including CCA, DSF, SDP and ESOS.
• Support monitoring and reporting of Meadow's sustainability targets and commitments, including SBTi-related activities.
• Act as a key point of contact for sustainability enquiries from customers and external stakeholders.
• Support customer sustainability reviews, questionnaires, audits and reporting requirements.
• Drive progress against Meadow's Sustainability Roadmap, including sustainable sourcing initiatives, supplier engagement and product carbon footprint data collection.
• Coordinate and support sustainability audits and assurance activities, including RFA requirements.
• Engage with relevant industry groups and working forums (e.g. FNET and AIF).
• Work alongside Marketing, Farm and Commercial teams to support the delivery of Meadow's sustainability communications and marketing strategy.
• Promote sustainability best practice across the business and support new sustainability initiatives, customer projects and emerging regulatory requirements.

• Experience managing and interpreting large datasets.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail whilst maintaining a strategic perspective.
• Customer-focused with the confidence to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of sustainability principles, environmental metrics and carbon accounting.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience in a sustainability, ESG or environmental role.
• Experience with sustainability reporting programmes and frameworks (e.g. CCA, DSF, SDP, ESOS).
• Experience using carbon accounting or sustainability reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) requirements.
• Understanding of Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs).
• Knowledge of agricultural and dairy supply chains.
• Experience of sustainability certifications and assurance programmes.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
