Field Service Engineer – Commercial Coffee Machine Manufacturer

Location: SW, SM Postcodes

Salary & Package

  • Basic Salary: £33,000 + £3,000 London weighting allowance (where applicable).
  • Annual Bonus: Potential bonus of up to 5% of basic salary.
  • Company Van: Provided, with private use permitted.
  • Expenses: Company credit card and fuel card provided.
  • Pension: 10% employer contribution, with no compulsory employee contribution.
  • Travel Payments: Minimum £20 per working day, door-to-door.
  • Annual Leave: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Death in Service benefit (4x annual salary).
  • Company uniform and PPE provided.
  • Laptop and company mobile phone.
  • Company sick pay.
  • Comprehensive product training and ongoing technical development.

Overtime & Weekend Working

  • Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 weekends, paid at £26 per hour.
  • Weekday Overtime: £26 per hour, with no limit.
  • Bank Holidays: £35 per hour, plus £50 daily standby payment.

Job Overview

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing commercial coffee machines across a variety of customer sites, including hotels, restaurants, cafés, offices and retail environments.

Your duties will include planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, electrical and mechanical fault-finding, installations and providing technical support to customers to ensure equipment operates reliably.

The Person

We are looking for engineers with a strong electromechanical background, ideally with experience in commercial coffee equipment or field service engineering.

Candidates from related industries will also be considered, including:

  • Vending machines.
  • Commercial catering equipment.
  • Hot taps and plumbed water coolers.
  • White goods.
  • Warewashing equipment.

You should have good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, a full UK driving licence and a professional, customer-focused approach.
