JOIN LA PETITE BRETAGNE – FULL-TIME CREPIER / CHEF

At La Petite Bretagne, making crêpes isn’t just cooking—it’s craftsmanship.

Every galette and crêpe leaving our kitchen reflects our standards, attention to detail and pride in traditional French cuisine. We’re looking for an experienced Chef or Crepier who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes genuine ownership of their work.

This is not an entry-level kitchen position.

We’re looking for someone who already has experience working in a professional kitchen. Previous crêpier experience is a major advantage, but not essential—we will teach you our recipes and techniques. What matters most is your ability to manage your section independently, stay organised under pressure, and consistently produce high-quality food.

Long-term commitment only. No seasonal or summer applications, please.

YOUR ROLE

As our Crepier, you will be trusted to run your kitchen section independently.

This includes:

  • Preparing and cooking traditional savoury galettes and sweet crêpes to our standards.
  • Managing your own section throughout service with minimal supervision.
  • Maintaining exceptional cleanliness, organisation and food safety at all times.
  • Working efficiently during busy services without compromising quality.
  • Monitoring stock levels and keeping your station fully prepared.
  • Communicating effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Taking pride in every plate that leaves your section.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience as a Chef is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Crepier is highly desirable, but full training will be provided.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Someone who is comfortable managing their section independently.
  • Calm, focused and efficient under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
  • A genuine passion for quality food and professional kitchen work.

Applications from candidates without professional kitchen experience will not be considered.

WHY JOIN LA PETITE BRETAGNE?

  • Competitive salary plus generous service charge.
  • Complimentary staff meals and employee discounts.
  • Full Crepier training provided.
  • Rotas published 2–3 weeks in advance.
  • A supportive, professional kitchen with clear standards.
  • Career progression within a growing restaurant brand.
  • Recognition programmes and performance-based rewards.

WHO WILL SUCCEED HERE?

This role is for someone who enjoys responsibility.

You don’t need constant supervision. You take ownership of your section, stay organised during busy services, and understand that consistency is what separates a good chef from a great one.

If you’re looking for a kitchen where professionalism, quality and pride in your work genuinely matter, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Discounted or free food
  • Employee discount

Application question(s):

  • Have you previously managed your own kitchen section during service?
  • Have you worked in a fast-paced restaurant where you were expected to maintain quality under pressure?
  • Have you ever prepared crêpes, pancakes, or similar products professionally?
  • Do you have at least 3 years of experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen?

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (required)

Work Location: In person
