Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Vending Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of vending machines and related equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with schematics, and leadership qualities to manage technical teams effectively. This role involves ensuring the seamless operation of vending systems across multiple locations, with a focus on equipment repair, maintenance, and system upgrades. The successful applicant will contribute to enhancing service reliability and customer satisfaction through proactive management and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vending machines and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Lead maintenance teams during repairs or upgrades, providing guidance and technical support.
  • Oversee installation of new vending systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for parts procurement and equipment servicing.
  • Monitor system performance data to identify areas for improvement or potential failures.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of system enhancements or modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and system updates.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including air conditioning systems where applicable.

Experience

  • Proven experience in equipment repair, maintenance, or construction within a technical environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams efficiently.
  • Experience working with vending machines or similar electronic/electromechanical systems is advantageous.
