We’re looking for a passionate and reliable swim teacher to join our friendly team, delivering high-quality swimming lessons in a calm, private pool environment in North Somerset.

You’ll teach small-group and one-to-one lessons for children and adults, helping swimmers build confidence, develop strong technique, and progress at their own pace. With small class sizes and a peaceful setting, this is a great role for an instructor who enjoys focused, personalised teaching. This role is primarily term-time only, with the opportunity to pick up additional paid hours during school holidays if desired.

About the role

  • Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons for children and adults
  • Ensure lessons run to schedule and make effective use of lesson time
  • Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and constructive feedback
  • Maintain a professional, supportive, and student-focused environment
  • Communicate confidently with swimmers and parents about progress
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised poolside area

What we’re looking for

  • SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming (or equivalent qualification)
  • Ability to independently plan and deliver structured lessons
  • Strong ability to manage lesson timing and session flow
  • Confident, friendly communicator with children, adults, and families
  • Reliable, organised, and professional in approach
  • Weekday availability (typically between 3–8pm)
  • Access to vehicle for reliable transport

What we offer

  • Competitive hourly pay (£18.50–£25, depending on experience and qualifications)
  • Primarily term-time working, with optional additional hours during school holidays
  • Small class sizes in a well-maintained private pool
  • Supportive, respectful team culture
  • Opportunity to grow with a modern, well-branded swim school

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £18.50-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 4 per week

Benefits:

  • On-site parking

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Nailsea BS48: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

  • Teaching: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (required)
  • NPLQ life saving qualification or equivalent (preferred)
  • Paediatric First Aid Certification (preferred)

Work Location: In person
