Technical Support Specialist £40-£45K & Commission

East Grinstead, Full-Time Permanent

GoGecko Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with Anchor Systems, a leading provider of innovative and cost-effective solutions to the civil engineering, construction, and infrastructure sectors. Due to business growth, we are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to join their team in East Grinstead.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in construction, civil engineering, geotechnical, groundworks, or related industries who enjoys solving technical challenges, building strong customer relationships, and supporting projects from enquiry through to completion.

As a key member of the team, you'll become the trusted technical contact for customers, providing expert advice, preparing quotations, supporting live projects, and ensuring exceptional levels of customer service throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, contractors, engineers, and project teams
  • Manage reactive enquiries and project requests, identifying suitable solutions and specifications
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend practical resolutions
  • Prepare accurate quotations, technical documentation, and project specifications
  • Visit project sites to provide technical assistance, customer support, and after-sales care
  • Ensure products and solutions are correctly specified to meet project requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
  • Identify new business opportunities and help grow our customer base across multiple sectors
  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations when required
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and marketing teams to support project delivery
  • Provide customer feedback and market insights to help improve products and services

Who are we looking for?

Someone who combines technical understanding with excellent customer service skills and

  • 3-4 years' experience within construction, civil engineering, geotechnical, groundworks, utilities, infrastructure, or a similar industry
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand engineering-led products and solutions
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Customer-focused with a proactive and problem-solving approach
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Good numerical ability and confidence working with project specifications
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer and project sites

Desirable

  • Experience providing technical support within construction products or engineering solutions
  • Experience delivering technical presentations or product demonstrations
