QTS IS ESSENTIAL. APPLICATIONS WITHOUT QTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Tutor Doctor York is looking to work with qualified teachers who want full time tutoring work.

This role is ideal for teachers who want to step away from full-time classroom pressures while continuing to make a meaningful impact. You will work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who need personalised academic support.

What the role involves:

  • Delivering tailored lessons aligned to the national curriculum
  • Supporting pupils from primary through to GCSE and A-Level (depending on your experience)
  • Working with students who may be behind academically, out of mainstream education, or preparing for exams
  • Tutoring in students’ homes, schools, or approved community settings across York
  • Accepting work that fits your availability

Essential requirements (non-negotiable):

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Ability to build rapport with pupils and families
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
