Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse assistant to join our team over the summer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stocking, and organising. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in an organised environment. This Job is primarily during weekdays but has the potential for weekend hours.

Duties

  • Manage inventory using a warehouse management system, ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting and proper storage techniques.
  • Perform picking & packing duties for outgoing events, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Load & unload goods from vans, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Assist in events item management, verifying incoming and outgoing items against event invoices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Utilise mechanical knowledge for minor repairs or maintenance of warehouse equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate organisation of orders.
